[BC] chain link fence effect on satellite dish?

I've got a dish on top of a 28' metal pole that has been through some
serious straight line winds and it has never moved and I have never had to
realign it. A short well installed pole is your answer if you ask me that
way you never have to worry about it.
YMMV

Steve;

If the dish is for C-Band, which I assume it is, the wavelength is 7.5
centimeters or 2.95 inches. Therefore if the links are less than that, the
fence will effectively block the signal, otherwise only the area of the
actual metal of the fence will attenuate the signal. Obviuosly the safest
bet is to not be shadowed by the fence.
