What I have always done is to grab the PST file off the old machine, usually
in the C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook folder (you may have to unhide hidden folders). Move
that to a folder you create on the new machine. Then in Outlook you can go
to file | import and export. It will walk you through step by set to import
your wife's e-mail into the new PST file that was created by Outlook on the
new computer. There is one step where you have to go find the file that you
want to import from, so create a folder on the C drive so you can easily
find the file again.
