[BC] Long Distance telephone Service

The telephone company here doesn't provide unlimited long distance service
for residential customers.

I've heard of certain services (but never used them) where a carrier,
seperate from your local provider, provides unlimited long distance.

Anyone ever used one of them or have any suggestion on who to look at? I
tried google and didn't have much luck.
