The manufacturer was Ampro (formerly of Feasterville, PA), but this
series of consoles was indeed relabeled and sold by RCA in the '70s,
just as RCA's mod monitors in that period were actually designed and
built by Belar.
Although there are many design flaws in Ampro gear, WCJW's board is
holding up better than I expected. I found a carton full of spare
preamp and switch modules at a local hamfest a few years ago, so I can
keep it going a few more years if necessary. But since we're using
Abode Audition for most production work, there's really no longer a
need for anything that big.
