[BC] STL -8 repair

I agree with Bill here. The plug-in crystal module does contain a 
heater. Check to see if
the heater is working correctly. Also, like Bill said, the age of the 
crystal and the
AFC might be part of the problem.

I'll look to see if I have a schematic for the crystal module.
