[BC] STL -8 repair

Hi all...

I have an STL-8 receiver that has developed some intermittent drifting. I am looking for suggestions on how to troubleshoot the issue.  Are there common parts that need replacing after x years?  Does the receiver behave differently in a crowded spectrum?  (I can turn off the transmitter and hear a competitor 1 mhz downband.)  Just looking for ideas.
