[BC] Could our concept of audio be all wrong?

Ian Anderson played at our little radio station in 2000. He walked into our
performance studio with it's multi-track ADATs, Mackie digital 8 board,
various microphones, etc. and was amazed. He had come with a portable CD
player, a small Fosdex powered speaker and his flute. He had a specially
mixed CD that he played and sang along with and played flute. He said he did
this because most radio stations didn't have any live setups and he could do
this right in the control room. His little setup sounded just GREAT!. He knew
how to modulate his voice and flute perfectly with the sound coming out of the
Fosdex speaker. I was amazed.

Mr. Anderson clearly knows sound backwards and forwards.

Ian Anderson took the stage to start Tull's gig, he motioned to the sound
crew to turn everything way down, and announced that their music didn't need
to be loud to be good, and then played three acoustic songs in a row to rest
everyones ears and calm down the crowd. Was a wonderful concert....
