Did he drive a big Cadillac? Right up the access road to the work site? I
believe
he and crew stacked a Utility tower here in 1985.

Colorful (if it was the same guy) as in every few days I'd drive out to see
how
the tower was progressing, and would find many empty Bud cans and many
more empty .22 casings laying on the ground. Tower work looked like dang
good fun to me (at least after the work was done, I assumed).
The then GM and I went out one afternoon to look things over after they had
left
cleaned up the old cans, and emptied a few of our own. One last Budweiser
was
left and I walked over to the pickup and pulled the .357 out from behind the
seat.
I set the full Bud on a gopher mound and touched one off, hoping I would see
if
I had hit it. No problem there, I hit it right in the center of the medalion
and if I
had been within 30' of it, I would have gotten soaked.
Ya gotta love radio for what it was......if not for what it is.
