[BC] Who's on the throne of Radio?

Pray let me suggest yet another perspective. It's "gatekeeping".
Conceptually, radio stations once were entertainment 'gatekeepers' in that
they controlled most of the flow toward the listener.

Today that 'gate' concept doesn't exist (with the possible exception of
cable companies controlling some TV programming). There are simply too many
alternative delivery methods.

Radio "stockholders" (in the note below) who think they're still
'gatekeepers' might remind one of the Governor William J. Le Petomane
Memorial Highway Toll Booth, in Blazing Saddles.
