Therein lies the rub!

It used to be that a higher class of license conferred all the 
privileges of a lower license in the same class.  I had a hard time 
convincing my flight instructor that I didn't need to get an RROP 
because I had a 2nd. phone at the time and that getting an RROP was in 
violation of the R&R's because I held a higher class license.  I don't 
know when that changed.
