[BC] Near death experience

A kid that I knew from High School, then about 19 years of age,
was working on his Pontiac Bonneville, changing a water pump.
He was leaning across the battery posts when he suddenly stopped
talking. I didn't know what was happening. I didn't realize that
he had become the DC path for the low resistance, sulfuric acid
covered, and high conductivity through the skin, battery terminals.
I went into his house to use his facilities and when I returned,
he was still in the same position I had left him in. That's when
I noticed that his skin was bluish-white and his wide-open eyes
didn't blink.
I pulled him off the vehicle and he was unresponsive. I didn't
know anything about CPR so I just called the police as there was
no 911 in those days. I started to worry so I rolled him over and
tried to use the artificial respiration motions I had seen on
television. Eventually the police arrived. Eventually an ambulance
arrived and took him to Mary Lane Hospital, 15 miles away, in Ware.
He was dead.
With that background, I decided to learn CPR, rescue breathing,
and a few other rescue techniques including water rescue. I have
never had to use this knowledge. Scout's motto; "Be prepared!"
Even low-current DC will stop the heart if it's in the current path.
Cheers,

I was not sure where I was, or how I got there, dizzy for a few moments as
well as seeing double. I thought I had completely recovered after a couple days;
the real damage was lurking. You see, I was "droopy" on Senior Prom night.
Can you say "born loser?"
I'm all better now.
