Ok, hold it. You turned the TX off each time and hung the ammeter each time,

No, NEVER stick you hand into a live transmitter (unless its' a Continental
and you
have to adjust the driver tune/load).

I got ahold of 550VAC with one hand in the pocket, and it hurt clear down to
my chest.
I REALLY don't like doing that hand in the transmitter bit.
