I haven't seen the usual pre NAB chit-chat.

Well Burt, you certainly got the conversation started.

In an attempt to lure travelers to Vegas prices are down so low this year
even the <ahem> budget conscious can afford to go. Just do some homework.

For other travel I've used services such as Priceline. Not anymore. Along
with Expedia, Travelocity and the like there appear to be limited travel
options usually involving a connecting flight. Guess I was spoiled when the
Pittsburgh airport a mere half-hour drive away was a US Airways hub.

The Southwest site had spring getaway specials. Roundtrip on an
Internet-only special set me back $238 for non-stop roundtrip tickets.

The last time I went to _RTNDA at NAB_ (mailto:RTNDA at NAB) a room at the
Imperial Palace was about $150/night. This year the same hotel has a 3-night for
$99 special. With the additional time I'm staying the room comes to about $60
per night. What other destination can offer that rate?

So for those of you who have felt the show is out of your price range,
travel and lodging is the lowest its been in a decade.

See you in April.

Frank
