Been there, done that. AN AM station where I worked was automated talk ( well 
there were actual people who could actually talk, but the format was 
automated ) anyway, the automation would puke it's silicon chips and the statio
n would 
sit silent for half an hour or more. No calls. Sad thing is, nobody in the 
building was listening either. Don't even THINK of flaming me... It happened 
when I was not on duty.

Aw, c'mon! that's an easy one. Let's try this:

we get one of those no longer fashionable, "High Energy Puker" type jocks, 
and have him intro the audio tracks on the NAB test CD.

Now, just so everyone here realizes that I'm not a sexist pig, I have neither 
heard, nor can I imagine, what a female "High Energy Puker" would sound like, 
so I did not mention it. 

Wait ... what the hell, let's try THAT :-)
