Cowboy:

That is truly frightening. Those people are either severely deprived, or
easily thrilled.

whaddya thunk?

Last time I did an audio proof (member those) I had a listener call in and
request a song. I asked him what he wanted to hear, and I told him it was up
for airplay next. This was about 12:30 AM when I got the call. I finished the
proof at about 3 AM and disconnected my test gear and played his request. "And
this is going out to Brian."

'Nuther kid on the same night called wanting to know what the loud whistle
was that he was hearing on our station. I said to him "what in the HELL is the
matter with you! Turn your radio off NOW, or you will become sterile. Haven't
you ever wondered why broadcast engineers don't have ANY KIDS ??" He meekly
said "no" and that he would comply. "and don't turn it back on again until 5 AM

or later.... GOT IT ??"
.... ok ....
CLICK.

The good old days.../.
