y'know -
Hard to imagine mslsd would even mention this unless there was some hype
to something, or at least the thread of an agenda...
A number of years ago, there was a song with lyrics about 'rolling in my
Navigator, a pair of .45's , I keep the hammers cocked'... later on, their
talking about rollin through 'The Galleria" ... they describe going to get
something to eat, they describe the 'Sunday 4am boom boom boom on my door'
and the cops...
Factually correct. National rap song. Made a bunch of money, as did the
song on the album about how he liked 'corn rows, and manicured toes... '
Came out a number of months after the singer was out of the can.
You need to know there are several national gangs, and lots of wannabes,
that are just bright enough to use radio as a way to conduct their business.
This song I'm describing was factually describing a VALID drug bust in the
D/FW area, as well as a rally song to try to get a bunch of thugs together
for retaliation against the folks who locked them up. One of them 'cop
killer' songs. One of those cops was my brother. The Fed folks had a
semi-decoy vehicle, a rather obvious plain white van full of surveillance
equipment, parked for the perps to look at.
The perps did NOT notice the other officers who were rolling tape on the
activities, which led to the warrant, which led to the arrest... which led
to the song... which led to...
I can't address your particular pair of boneheads, but I can tell you
about the HOW IT"S DONE ...
The 'unauthorized transmission' probably is referencing the on-air
language. I'm sure the radio station did not authorized the auction of Mj
on the air, nor did the FCC. That language was probably the final straw in
getting a warrant. I think the first amendment still covers a person's
ability to say anything no matter how stupid, even if it's on the air, but I
also think following amendments (including some state statutes and such)
prohibit using obscene abusive threatening blatantly false or immediately
endagering language on the air. Including the sale of or promotion of drug
use.
Not eactly the same as Craig Ferguson's mentions of drugs during his
program.
As far as the cops 'taking your papers and pipe' for their own use... I
suppose there are 'stupid employees' in every business, however, down here,
know that if you a a cop go work a rave party, and make arrests, you as a
cop will be drug tested several times before and after. Get a base line and
monitor your blood levels.
It's possible to to acquire enough mj, etc. in your blood stream to give
the defence an out by your just walking through the damn place, much less
being there four hours. If your blood levels come up at all while you're
working it, your last arrest will likely be thrown out, you will be pulled
out of rotation, and put on leave, until your blood levels are good. It can
even become a a bad situation really quick... working as UC when some stoner
hands you a joint... and there are a LOT of armed stoners obliquely
eyeballing you to see how you act... smoke it, or get stabbed in a mosh...
smoke it, and lose all your arrests for the night, maybe your job, maybe
your own freedom...
Ever jocked a rave party? like, Texas Zen-fest maybe...? whose side
would you be on...?
Ever seen one of those people die on the ground just from the drugs...?
Yeah, it IS a real war.

This is TOO funny!
"Inside, investigators found Senat smoking marijuana while on the air. He
and
DJ Christopher Robert Roth were both arrested and charged with unauthorized
transmission and possession with the intent to deliver marijuana."
HOW? By blowing pot smoke into the microphone?
These cops need to smoke less pot themselves!
