My list IS much longer. Remember during my "spare" time I also teach desert survival for CAP. I grew up in upstate NY and lived in CO for many years. Snow is not my friend, but a close acquaintance. The lack of snow shoes is just a personal prejudice. There are the things that I need if I get stuck up there, the things I need if I have to walk in and the things I need if I have to walk out. It's amazing what an infantry harness with butt pack can carry even without the Alice pack, and I was not Army, but Air force! Of course I do have some minimum stocks locked up with the spare parts on the hill. So far, in ten years on Potosi I've only walked out once and never been stuck up there.
