OMG!!  Amboy, CA!?  Some of you may have seen the sign outside their cafe in
print or TV commercials.  But that's about all there is to the town!  (It
was on the old Route 66 but was bypassed when Interstate 40 was put in quite
a ways north of there.  It was sort of the inspiration for the movie "Cars"
though the movie had much more of a town.  Amboy is just a few buildings
north of the highway -- even a school house, now abandoned.)

Trona isn't much better.  Who would want to put a station where there are
virtually NO PEOPLE?
