Another wonderful story. Especially this part:
Developed by iBiquity Digital Corporation and supported by the leaders of the
broadcasting, consumer electronics, retail and automotive industries, HD
Radio
technology is available to more than 84 percent of Americans. More than
1,800
HD Radio stations are already on the air plus over 900 new multicast FM
channels. HD Radio broadcasts offer listeners the quality, choice and
interactivity that consumers have come to expect from digital technologies,
Diogenes has abandoned his search for an honest man and is now trying
to find an IBUZ receiver. So much for retailer support. This stuff is
such PR hogwash it's pathetic.
Did anyone see this from Diymedia? iBiquity is effectively denying all of
its claims about this wonderful technology:
"Any simple WHOIS domain-name search turns up the obvious: iBiquity owns
HDRadio.com... My question is, why all the disclaimage?.. Are you effectively
denying the validity/credibility of your consumer-marketing claims?.. Hiding
behind a trademark-disclaimer - that HDRadio.com is 'managed' by the HD Radio
Alliance - does not cut the mustard."
