Ford, as an investor in iBiquity, is waiting on the proposed 10db power  
increase for FM-HD - Ford is afraid that consumers, otherwise, will not accept  
the "technology".  Ford's dealer-installed option for HD Radio never  
materialized, and many automakers that offer HD as an option, don't let  consumers know 
about it. Remember, that automakers get free publicity for  supposedly 
offering HD Radio, so I am always suspicious of any announcements by  iBiquity. In 
iBiquity's original HD Radio Questionnaire, iBiquity asked  broadcasters if they 
would like to hear more announcements from automakers -  again, this make me 
very suspicious.
