Regardless of what the rules say, I have disabled automatic forwarding at my
stations. I'm tired of forwarding bullshit that originates upstream. The
last RMT we forwarded contained "keep listening to WXXX", followed by a
station jingle and then music. Just last week, I heard a station forward
2-minutes of crap from the NWS that consisted of today's record highs and
the rainfall amount. It had been coded as a RMT. Until the FCC can make
the NWS cooperate and prevent the upstream stations from sending
self-promotion crap as part of a RMT, I'm not participating. I'll send a
RWT and I'll log whatever comes in, but no more automatic forwarding.
