I love the thread about call letters -

Here in the Seattle area we have KIRO-TV, KIRO (AM) and KIRO-AM even though
the TV is owned by a different company.

At one time we had KING-TV, KING (AM) KING-FM - All owned by different
firms. CBS now owns what was KING-AM and operates it under a different
call.

I love call letter recycling - I went to work at KNBQ back in 1982 (Viacom
changed the call to KBSG about 1987). I believe the call was used in
Nebraska for a while. Recently the call is back in the market, this time
operated by CCR.

TV is facing their own identity issue - Here was have a station that has
historically been known as KING-5. I trust that it will still be KING-5
long after their VHF channel is history as they continue on Ch 38. A funny
one is their sister station, KONG. Yes KONG is on the KING tower.

Then there is California....Where else would you have a KRAK and KOME?

For some reason KRUD (a great call IMHO) is only a web site.
