[BC] gmail question

It actually appears to occur if you use the SMTP server / POP3 
interface, rather than the web interface - at least, so I've seen.  The 
messages show up in the Web InBox, but are marked automatically as 
"read", so the POP3 routine misses them., thinking they've already been 
downloaded.

Which can be annoying if there's a glitch, or you want to review the 
rest of your post, and not just what someone else quoted.
