and exactly WHY do 'conservative owners' air Limbaugh instead of Air America ?

because their audience wants to listen to Limbaugh

this is known as 'programming for ratings', which may also be called 'give the listener
what he/she wants to hear, and your station will prosper'

conversely, air something that the audience does not like, and your listenership will drop
like a rock

and, as Forrest Gump says, 'That's all I've got to say about that'
