The only rotating component is the squirrel-cage rotor.

Induction motors built for 24/7 service will last a long time.
Induction motors built to a very low "price point" will not.
You get what you pay for.
If a single-phase version of your transmitter is offered, by all  
means order that version, or a conversion kit, if available.
