One of the ways that I've used to evaluate the health of a measuring
location is to rotate the field meter for a null. The null should be
towards the transmitter and nearly 20 dB deep. If you have that, the
location should be good. Generally when I do a proof I log the
maximum reading, the aligned (with the transmitter) and the
null. This gives me a lot of information about the point.
