I would concur with Richard's recommendation to check the processor heatsink.
Been there, done that.
No bright ideas on the keyboard, unless it's USB, in which case make sure the
BIOS doesn't have some setting that you have to turn on to make a USB keyboard
work at boot. Gonna be hard to fix unless you can sub a PS/2 style keyboard
temporarily.
