[BC] CD vs LP

Most commercial pressings were made of 'reground' vinyl-which was literally
old, unsold records that were ground up into powder-center labels and all!

Great recycling, but TERRIBLE for surgace noise.

I used to see tiny pieces of paper in my LPs all the time.

I can't speak to the longevity issue, but I do know that the surface noise on

the MFL pressings is *dramatically* lower than most 'garden variety'
pressings.

Cheers!
