Almost - what it reduces is the sharp attack time; the amplitude falls
off slower, especially with percussive (keyboards, drums, and other
struck instruments... Yes, a piano is played by striking the strings...
look inside one!) instruments. Fast attack, slow release; so playing
the master backwards gives you a SLOW attack, which solid state
circuitry handles much better overall...
