Also, a company called EXR made one back in the '80s. Does anyone remember the
EXR exciter? Lots of them were sold for broadcast.

Aphex made a box (and I think they still do) that will create even  
and odd harmonics, tuned by a knob.  BBL made something similar, but  
it was a bit less overtly stated.

Want "warm?"  Add even harmonics!
