If I recall correctly the Crutchfield site will let you know if it's
advisable or not when you go to order the face plate and adapter wires.
It's at that point when it states that it's not advisable or something along
those lines.  Well before you buy anything which is the goal.

I didn't see any of you mention that installing an after-market radio 
(HD or not) in recent vehicles ranges from inadvisable to difficult to 
expensive.  Forget the cost of the radio itself. The radio which comes 
with new vehicles is more and more integrated into the vehicle's "system".

It seems to me that the market for "after-market" radios is mainly in 
older cars, more of which die each year. And many owners of old cars are 
less likely to throw their limited money at a radio.

All IMO.
