If it passes DC, it'll pass subaudible audio.  the HANDSET might not 
reproduce it, but the line will pass it.  The question being - will the 
SWITCHGEAR pass it?  Remember the CO is generating the ring voltage, so 
the switchgear may not be able to pass it (200 Hz HPF)...

One way to find out...

connect a CONEX TG-25 to a remote mixer, and see if a TS-25 will pick it 
up from a remote call-in location.
