When I was CE at KLMR in the middle 60's, we put one or more TV antennas on
the self supporter to feed the CATV system when the microwave from ElMagre
failed. Could this be it"

Not to detract from your original point, but I would hope that these
subsequent applications would be rejected for failing the 'obvious to one
skilled in the art' test. Not that I'd have a lot of hope -- the PTO has
granted boatloads of patents in the last twenty years (particularly in the
software realm) that IMHO should never have made it past that test.

Cheers!

The new hybrids, instead of converting your stored
energy to heat in brake pads, discs, shoes, or
drums, convert it back into electricity during
deceleration.

This thread as drifted rather far enough .... to brake pads and
hybrids ... that it seems proper that any future posts will be
diverted to the Alternate Frequency.

thanks!

Hello:

We have a recently updated Burk ARC-16 with the latest firmware on a POTS
line. Our phone company is less than cooperative regarding fixing this phone

line; every time it rains, the line is busy when it is called.

I am considering a device made by Tellular that is designed to interface
regular telephone equipment to the cellular network. Anyone here ever used a

Tellular unit with your Burk unit, and how well does it work?

Here is a link to the device that I'm considering: (watch the word wrap)

I'm using one with a Sine unit. Works fine.

I use these a LOT. CDMA versions (Verizon) seem to have a lot of echo.
Never had any trouble with GSM (ATT, TMobile).

Larry,

I am not sure if it is the same unit but years ago I used a POTS
emulator with a bag phone while the transmitter site was having the
(delayed) phone service installed. It worked great.

I remember an ad for a Chief Engineer/Chief Pilot at KLMR in the mid-70's.
If memory serves me correctly they had a Beech Baron. At that time my 300
hours or so of multi-time was in Piper Aztecs, Apaches, Twin Beeches and a
Shorts Skyvan (right seat)so I didn't pass muster.

I often wondered if they ever filled that job.
