At one time Dennis Behan, then owner of KLMR, had several stations in smaller markets that were underserved or not served by commercial airlines. He had the Baron to get around. He never was able to keep an engineer/Pilot for long because they were either good at one and not the other, or moved on to something bigger in a hurry. When I went to work for him in the late 70's and became his corporate chief E. he had sold most of the smaller market stations and moved into larger markets with better air service so sold the airplane, although he often hinted that if I got my commercial he'd think about buying another one. I had no interest in being his taxi driver, although I must say he was probably the best boss I'd had up to that time. My low hours obviously did not impress him. KLMR in Lamar had one flight in from Denver daily and one flight out to Denver daily and that was sufficient.
