The stolen tower was in Windber PA, near Johnstown, and was never WBBR. 
It was WWBR, and someone typoed the call along the way.

I don't think the WBBR calls were ever anywhere but New York (1924-1957 
on 1300/1330, now WWRV), Travelers Rest (1580, now WDAB) and New York 
again on 1130.
