[BC] bcst radio when jfk was assasinated

Nope Nope Nope, Urban legend. I must disagree. There was no "order" about 
"music jfk loved."  Where was that music supposed to come from? The fcc 
cannot regulate programming. Stations dropped advertising and format music 
because it was a sign of RESPECT, unlike they would do today.

WRIN, Rensselaer, IN went on the air Sept 10 of '63, and had about 40 albums 
(stolen from sister station WCGO, Chicago Heights, IL).
We went all instrumental - Billy Vaughn and Lawrence Welk.

Lots of Chicago stations just played classical music - wgn and wbbm Chicago, 
even wls (3 stations where I listened alot) sounded like funeral music. Not 
much talking except for a news story here and there.

Lots of stations went "all classical." WGN-TV eventually used a network feed 
(I thnk it was nbc), and played classical music (can't remember the video).
