        Always a good idea, but one of my ham buddies who's retiring is the head of the Nellis Comm shop and told me that all he has are plug and play techs.  He's had to go out himself with all 8 stripes, to fix some things that I used to fix in the AF 40 years ago when I only had three stripes or less.  And I was in an operator career field, not a repair field (electronic intercept operations).
        That is usually a good idea. However.  The Navy and Coast Guard usually have better trained techs any more.  I appreciate all the help, but be aware the job probably won't be open until at least the end of October.
