[BC] Harris SX-1A NRSC woes...

Other than buying a new transmitter..

    We have a friend who is not making NRSC mask compliance and he uses 
a Harris SX-1A. No IBOC.
    He has had trouble in the last few years meeting the mask. He stated 
that this has been slowly going on, not all of the sudden.
Way back in my mind, I recall reading here about some caps going bad. 
(Sounds like a cable TV show in the making!)

    Anyone have any experience with the SX-1A going bad, with a simple 
fix (either P.S. caps, or the PDS type filter cap)?
