The final Tube in the Collins 830E-1, 5 kW. FM is the 4CX5000A. The FInal
tube of the 830F-1 is a
4CX5000A tube. The driver for the 5 or 10 kW. is usually a 4CX-250B in the
driver cabinet.

In the case of the 830H or 830N, 20 kW. FM tranmsmitter the ouput amplifier
consists of two 830F-1 10 kW Power Amplifiers in parallel/combined thru a 90
dgree hybrid. The finals would be 2 each 4CX-5000A tubes.

In the case of the 830H or 830N 20 kW. FM transmitters the Driver tube was
the 4CX-1000-A tube. Some of the 5 kW. Models were sold with a 1 kW driver
instead of the 4CX-250B Drivers.

At this time the 4CX15,000A Power tetrode used in many 20 kW. rigs was not
available.
