Gentlemen,
The one big cheating station in our area on Friday Night High School Football is WHIN-AM in Gallatin, Tennessee. They are on 1010. This past friday night, thanks to Powell, WHIN-AM did not cheat, due to Powell's threat to them. The station is owned by 2 men, Jack Williams and Seth (Skip) Sparkman. These 2 men make up W.H.I.N., Inc. Sparkman is the one who calls his board operator and has them turn up the MW-5 to 1 KW, and even at times on a big game, 5 KW.
Now, is Sparkman right? No he has violated an FCC rule, and he knows better.
Jack Williams, the other partner, does try to follow FCC rules, and I give him an A for that, but if you ever met Skip Sparkman, well, I don't want to say on this board what kind of a person he can be.
We will see Friday Night if Sparkman cranks up WHIN's power up during the Galllatin Senior High School Game. For you DX guys, the team is know as the Gallatin Green Wave.
WMRO (1560) will be operating at it's LICENSED power during the game. Powell make darn sure that WHIN/Sparkman follows the rules. If not, if Barry will allow us, we will post it on this board and Powell will need to make his moves. This is not fair to me, WINS, or CRFB.
