Thank you! Glad to see someone else acknowledge this. I disliked the Harris
BC-1G and -H transmitters for this very reason. If the tubes weren't in new
condition, either your power out or your modulation suffered--sometimes
both. I know I've said it before, but the RA-1000 was my all-time favorite
AM transmitter, for this very reason: lots of drive, both audio and RF. You
could operate the 833's FAR longer without sacrificing output or modulation.
