I knew one announcer who always said, "here is the extended forecast for those of you who look ahead".  Another announcer always referred to rain as, "the wet stuff".  I've heard newscasts that were read verbatim from the police press release and referred to the person who was arrested as "the subject".  Even worse, traffic accidents where, "one subject was killed".  I think the all-time worst may be from television:  "this program was recorded in front of a live studio audience".
