I once worked with a guy who couldn't tell the time in 25 words or
less..."the current time right now is 15 and a half minutes after the
hour of 3 o'clock, in the PM here in good old (name of town)-town.  I
asked him once why he didn't just say "it's quarter past 3" and got a
very blank look.  I guess he thought he was injecting some
"personality".
