I've watched this thread...

The reality is the 945 WM's will not do much of anything---even when 
closely located to a STL RX site.  Unless the STL RX is really close to the 
ground and the signal weak, the RX antenna pattern and/or distance will 
essentially render the WM signal unreceiveable.

For the WM to have any impact on a properly designed STL, the WM 
transmitter will need to be in the bore-sight of the RX dish and at such a 
level that it would IX with the incoming signal.  A 4 ft. dish at 100 ft. 
would lay it's 3-dB point on the ground at 500 ft. from the tower.  And 
even then, it would need to be within a couple hundred feet in the 
bore-sight.  While the CA-450 antenna would have less of a well tailored 
vertical pattern when operated in the vertical mode, how often is it that 
an event occurs close to a TX site.

Please understand, I don't for a moment think this is a good idea.  But the 
WM's in this spectrum have been around for YEARS and have not caused 
problems to date.  And I doubt they will.
