Here at CBS-TV, as at the other TV networks - I'm sure, we have
'Product Placement'. I think in today's world of (commercial
skipping) DVRs Product Placement is getting more and more important.
Does anybody here have any info regarding what percentage of a show's
income comes from Product Placement?
I think that it should be required to reveal somewhere in the show
(the credits?) that we are being paid for Product Placement, but AFAIK
it is not. It *is* detailed on some Quiz shows where we give away
the product as a prize to contestants.
And in spite of the Product Placement we still have a full complement of spots.
..... luckily for me, I guess, since those spots and Product
Placements pay my salary.
