[BC] High Definition clock radio... 1970s style

Radio Shack may be clearing out their "HD" table radios for $99... but I
just wish they'd have something like this on the shelf... an old Panasonic
clock radio with the pseudo-digital "flip-clock" display. It really
surprises me with the clarity and definition of its tiny built-in 32-ohm,
0.5W speaker. And with no ICs or ceramic filters, the AM performance is
excellent -- if a station is using the full 10 kHz NRSC bandwidth, you can
really hear it.

by holding my microphone up to its speaker:
