My apologies. My post was 100% sarcasm and I
am glad you "tell it like it is". I have been a GM of
a standalone AM in a market where NYC and
Hartford, CT stations show in the Waterbury, CT
Arbitron. It was a tough sell, but I did it successfully
by being local.

That aside, I am in complete agreement that radio is
now a business. Period. So is the FCC. They collect
filing fees, conduct auctions, etc. Personally, I have
no belief in Public File, Main Studio rules, or EAS.
Make the latter voluntary. In any case, I was being
facetious in my earlier post. It would be a good
Golden Fleece award. Calculate the costs of compiling
the revised edition and who (if anyone) actually benefits.
