Paul, Powell and others:

I don't want to say that you're not all correct but, we switched our
Comstudy and office machines over to Vista during last summer. (I haven't
had the nerve to try that with automation and production systems - which are
running XP Professional - just yet but, it is coming to a time that I'll try
it.)

So far, I must admit that I am impressed!

Vista does something that no OS so far has done: When some program (rarely)
"hangs-up" the machine, instead of giving us the "blue screen of death" and
causing us to loose EVERYTHING all in one big crash, it asks to save
everything else as a safety precaution (which is rarely needed) and then
restarts the SINGLE PROGRAM THAT HAS CRASHED without affecting the rest.

It has it's "quirks" that completely irritate me (such as not being able to
easily move the "Public" folder to a secondary drive) but, for the added
"crash protection", I'll stick with it... For now, at least!
