That IS pretty neat! I used to calculate HAAT and draw terrain profiles by
hand using topographic maps and a lot of graph paper. I was talking with
people at Vsoft about "the good old days" at NAB. We talked about using a
polar planimeter. My father used to determine the area inside a curve by
plotting it out on paper, cutting out the shape, then weighing the paper.
He said paper was pretty uniform in density.
