Richard,

I am sure that you were not tricked into disappearing.  The people I know at
at BE are certainly not that way.

The bottom line is that the people at BE were correct (and were trying to
HELP YOU).  IMHO you owe them an apology. Perhaps people that blame others
for their inability to find locations should not be allowed into the
convention. It is amazing how people from just about every other state found
their way to the get together.   As a matter of fact they had to set up more
tables.

There were BUFFET signs all around the hotel, though in typical Las Vegas
style, you need to browse the Casino to get to where you want.
